Collenbrook Farmhouse EVP's EVP's
June 16th, 2007
Delaware Ghost Hunters arrived at the CollenBrook Farmhouse at approximately 7:05pm. Upon arrival
it appeared that the 'something' had locked the door from the inside which prohibited entrance. After several attempts ,we are able to successfully enter the building. DGH did a preliminary walkthrough of the premises to get an idea of the layout and discussed areas that seemed to generate more activity and feelings in order to prioritize their time effectively.
Below is a summary of events that occured during the course of the investigation:
A. Investigator Jason was in the attic with clients and almost immediately a presence was felt in the room. As the investigation commenced, Jason recieved a sense of a male spirit with a long black coat, white undershirt, rimmed glasses with a chain backing, and black pants. The presense just seemed to stand in the center back wall of the room and merely observe what was taking place. Investigator Jason also sensed a little girl in the room as well, who seemed to stay near the right corner of the room. Guest Lori also made mention to the fact that she was focused on that corner of the room as well. Also while in the attic, Guest Alicia had felt several odd sensations including cold spots, a 'tingling' feeling, and was also touched/poked on several occastions. Investigator Jason also claimed to have felt a light rubbing across the back of the neck and on the back of the arms. Several attempts were made to rationalize what could have caused the touching sensations such as checks for spiderwebs, but there appeared to be no source in the area that could account for the feelings.
B. The extension of the attic that is above the original part of the house also contains a small window where one can see into the bedroom below. Investigator Jason saw an obvious shadow pass across the doorway and Alicia claimed to have seen the same thing at a different time during the investigation. DGH was certain no one was in that portion of the house due to the fact that it was blocked off, as the resident was away on vacation at the time.
C. Investigators Justin and Dan spent a block of time in the two rooms across from the attic to see what paranormal activity they could obtain. During their time spent in Room B, both claimed to have seen a shadow pass by the window on seperate occasions.

"Don't they know we're dead?"
"That was me....Richard"
"Oh my God"
"Hide the others"
"Lollipop___________".
You can hear this voice behind bits of Investigator
speaking. Sounds like a little girl, possibly singing?
"Something."
Investigator asks question, then it sounds like the response is "Something". (?)
"It's simple."
Investigator says "....the left side of my shoulder also", then it sounds like a girl in the background saying "It's simple".
"Please don't forget."
"Get it right."
"You took my cup from me"
Delaware Ghost Hunters and Unseen Forces of South Jersey went back to the CollenBrook Farmhouse on August 31st for a follow-up.
The second investigation at the Collenbrook Farmhouse was by far the most active night that DGH has experienced this year! We started around 8:30, along with the team from UFSJ. Noteworthy events that occured:
A. A loud noise was heard downstairs. DGH and UFSJ were in their respective rooms and went to the stairway to investigate the matter. It turns out that the front door completed unlatched and became open. With the style latch that is used on those doors, it
was impossible to recreate the effect naturally. The door has a lip that holds the latch in and must be raised 1/2" in order to open.
B. Curator Lori and DGH Investigator Maria were up on the second floor alone when Bedroom A started closing on its own. DGH Investigator Jason tried recreating the doorswing by natural causes and even checked the hinges
to the door to see if momentum could shut it -- but no successful recreations were made.
C. DGH Investigators were upstairs in Bedrooom B, when the team heard footsteps coming up the steps. Naturally, we thought it was a member from UFSJ heading upstairs. Investigator Jason contacted Investigator Steve from UFSJ to determine
if that was the case. It turned out that 3 UFSJ members were in a closed room doing audio and 1 UFSJ member was in another closed room downstairs doing audio. Coinciding with this event was an unknown source that gave an EMF Spike in UFSJ Investigators Angie,
Dawn, and JP's room. Investigator Steve, who was doing audio alone immediately seen a visible white ball of light go right past him. It is possible that this Spirit had went from one room to the other, then upstairs (which accounts for the unknown footsteps).
D. Investigators from Delaware Ghost Hunters were using a "Ghost Meter" EMF detector and were able to get spikes on command. When asking the age of the spirit, the response was 20 clicks then the EMF field dissappeared. Other questions were asked and recieved favorable similar responses.
